Evanna was chosen for the role of Luna Lovegood over 15,000 other girls.
As a Harry Potter fanatic she dreamed of playing the role of Luna.
She and her friends even made a recording of her acting out the part and sent it to Warner Brothers but without any success.
When Evanna Lynch was younger she once wrote a letter to J.K. Rowling regarding her low hopes of being cast as Luna in the films because she is from Termonfeckin.
Jo's response read "Don't be too hard on Termonfeckin; it does have a brilliant name".

On the Order of the Phoenix book release day unfortunately Evanna was in hospital, her parents managed to get permission to take her out so she could queue up for her copy of the book.
